Gay For Good is Partnering with HeightsNEXT for Earth Day!

Join us as we help clean up Central Avenue in Columbia Heights. We will gather at the Columbia Heights Public Library at 8:45am to hand out safety vests and garbage bags. Then, street/park assignments will be made for all volunteers. (Park assignments are made for families with young children who participate.) Each group goes to their area and safely picks up trash from the sidewalks and vegetation along the sidewalks (or park).

HeightsNEXT will supply safety vests, reaching tools, and collection bags.

Dress for the weather. Wear gloves to pick up trash safely. The event will be canceled if there is dangerous weather, but otherwise, this happens rain or shine.

*All ages are welcome, but children must be supervised. Families with young children will be assigned to parks.

What to Wear:  Volunteers should dress for the weather and bring their own gloves and sturdy footwear.
