It’s PRIDE all summer long! Join G4G Twin Cities as we partner with MN POC Pride in August.
G4G Twin Cities volunteers will be supporting the MN POC Pride Festival this year at Powderhorn Park.
A whole week of MN POC Pride celebrations & events will culminate with Back 2 Black Family Day in the Park.
G4G Twin Cities have a variety of shifts to fill including set-up, tear-down, event information, and G4G Booth staffing. We are looking for 40 + volunteers so spread the word!
Date: Sunday August 18, 2024
Time: Various Shifts, 8 am -6 pm
Location: Powderhorn Park, 3400 15th Avenue S, Minneapolis
Additional Details:
- Attire: Dress appropriately for August outdoors, including comfortable shoes to walk and stand.
- All Volunteers will receive one ticket $20 value from one of the four food trucks that will be present. There will be a no cash back on tickets so use them up! 😊 also one food truck per ticket also choose wisely. Should be something for all, vegetarian options included

3 shifts of 10 to support the MN POC Pride Event
Shift #1: 8 AM – 11 AM: help unload and set up 10×10 and 10×20 tents throughout the park for vendors, other tasks as needed. Shift #2: 11 AM – 2 PM – walk around park, providing guidance & info to festival go-ers. Refreshment tent, other tasks as needed. Shift # 3: 2 PM – 6 PM – refreshment stand; help transition to end of day including tear down and removal of all tents and equipment; other tasks as needed 2 shifts of 5 to support the G4G Booth: Talk about G4G, encourage folks to sign-up for our communications, answer questions, encourage Pride & Celebration. Shift #5: 10 AM -2 PM – help with tent set-up, greet folks, talk about G4G (talking points will be provided) Shift #6: 2 PM – 6 PM – talk about G4G (talking points will be provided), help with tent tear down, clean-up |
