G4G Twin Cities + Mile in My Shoes

Join G4G Twin Cities as we volunteer with Miles in My Shoes (MiMS) to support their Downtown Run Around FundRace!

MiMS brings together residents of the Twin Cities with diverse backgrounds through the power of running. Based in homeless shelters and re-entry centers for people exiting incarceration, MiMS is a catalyst for community-building, boosting health and wellness, building leadership and self-efficacy, and spurring personal and social action. By running together, our Resident Members and Run Mentors not only find common ground, but begin to learn from and reach out to one another for support. As they transform themselves, they transform one another.

Location:  Father Hennepin Park, 420 SE Main St, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Event Details:  G4G Twin Cities will be providing support for the Downtown Run Around as course marshalls and runner cheer sections throughout the 5 k out-and-back course.  Bring your cowbells and comfortable shoes!

If you are available after our volunteer work is done, we would also like to invite you to join us at a nearby restaurant for a little brunch/lunch to celebrate and get to know each other a little better!  More details will be provided at volunteer check-in on the day of the event.

We are looking forward to seeing you at Father Hennepin Park for a great morning of Doing Good!
