Mail Cards to a Clare Housing Residents (Virtual)

While we follow the important instructions of social distancing and limiting our activities during the COVID-19 crisis, join G4G in helping support the over 200 individuals and families living in one of the Clare Housing residences.

During times of stress, offering kindness to others can be a huge source of comfort.  G4G is joining the efforts to send encouragement to residents at Clare Housing through cards and positive messages. Residents are feeling isolated right now, and this can make someone’s day.

Time:  Anytime between now and the end of May 2020

Where:  From your own home.

What:

• Send a card with a positive message to one of our residents. It doesn’t need to be made out to anyone specifically, just include an encouraging message or a quote that inspires you. Cute drawings by kids welcome! Residents are feeling isolated right now, and this can make someone’s day. Send it to Clare Housing, Attn: Positive Messages, 929 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
• Donate supplies you have already to residents in need. If you have any spare paper towels, all-purpose cleaners, bars of soap, or toilet paper, please consider donating. Living with HIV, and on a very limited income, many need help with basic needs. You will be saving a resident from a potentially risky trip to the store. If you do have the resources to purchase new supplies, we do have specific needs for items like thermometers. You can find a full list of needs and instructions here
• Snap a selfie or photos of you, your friends, or family making cards, writing messages to the Clare Housing Residents and send to twincities@gayforgood.org, subject line:  Clare Housing cards.  We would love to see you doing good and share it with others on our website.
