G4G SoCal + Laurel Foundation

WHEN: Sunday, 2/18 – 9am – 7pm . (Multiple shifts during the event)

WHY: Gay For Good is partnering with The Laurel Foundation to support their fundraising event in Palm Springs. The Laurel Foundation’s mission to empower children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS, transgender youth, and the at-risk youth population through educational and support programs in a safe and trusting environment. This is a fundraising event for The Laurel Foundation, and is located in Palm Springs. Based on the location, we thought this would be a great service project for our SoCal chapters (San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles) to volunteer. (Also, we welcome other Gay For Good members who want to escape to warm, sunny Palm Springs to volunteer, and meet other G4G members while volunteering.)

INFO ON FUNDRAISING EVENT:
The Laurel Foundation’s 5th Annual Wine Tasting Benefit will bring together 25 plus wineries and spirit companies from across California and beyond. Held at a stunning 1920’s Spanish estate in Old Las Palmas, the early event will be rounded out with scrumptious nosh (passed) and the glamorous spinnings of an incredible DJ. Sommeliers and wine stewards will be present educate guests on the tastings and a bespoke Silent and Live Auction will round out the day.
