G4G San Francisco in Partnership with East Bay Front Runners!

We are thrilled to partner with the East Bay Front Runners as they celebrate their 20th Annual Pride Run & Walk at Lake Merritt in Oakland! 

The East Bay Front Runners have been a beacon of unity in the community, promoting a welcoming space for all to enjoy fitness and friendship.  This community event brings together runners and walkers from all backgrounds to support health, wellness, and inclusion. 

Date: Saturday, October 12th
Time: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Location: Adjacent to 568 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland, CA 94610, by the grass area near the Lake Merritt Sailboat House.

If you can cover the full shift from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, fantastic! However, we understand if you need to arrive late or leave early. Just let us know, and we’ll adjust accordingly.

Project Tasks:

• Course Monitors: Cheer on participants and ensure they follow the marked route.
• Water Station: Keep the runners and walkers hydrated.
• Volunteer Check-In & Registration Table: Welcome and register volunteers and participants.
• Food Table & Finish Line: Serve refreshments and celebrate finishers.
• Clean-Up Crew: Help restore the event space to its original condition.

Additional Information: Typically, it’s cloudy in the morning with the sun breaking through later. We recommend wearing sunscreen and a hat.  Ages 10 and older are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian).
