Join Team Gay For Good San Francisco for AIDS Walk San Francisco! 

 Please note this is a social event; fundraising is not required. We will be there to have fun and walk as a team.

Let’s get together in Golden Gate Park to socialize while raising awareness and support for HIV/AIDS services and programs in the Bay Area, including some G4G SF partner organizations. No weeding or heavy lifting required!

AIDS Walk SF is a 5K walk taking approximately 1.5 hours within Golden Gate Park. Feel free to bring friends & family!

Date: Sunday, July 20

Time: 9:30AM – 12:00PM for G4G participants (see below for further details)

Location: Robin Williams Meadow, Golden Gate Park, near the SF Lawn Bowling Club, 320 Bowling Green Drive.

G4G SF TEAM MEETING STATION:  Table 1-M near the Team Info and Volunteer Sign In tents, not far from the general attendee sign in & awards tent. Look for the G4G SF sign.

IMPT: This event has a 2-Step Registration Process

• Register here on the G4G website – Required.
• Register directly with AIDS Walk SF: Registration – AIDS Walk San Francisco 2025  – When prompted to join a team, search for Gay For Good San Francisco. Again, no actual fundraising required.
• You are welcome to join us without registering with the event but it’s encouraged, or you will not have access to the AIDS Walk food tent.

Recommended Attire: Comfortable walking shoes. And it’s Golden Gate Park in July so layers, layers, layers!

Recommended Extras: If you want to lounge around before or afterwards, feel free to bring blankets, camping chairs, or anything else that makes hanging out in a park comfortable and fun. Our belongings will be secure while we’re doing the actual walk.

AIDS Walk Schedule:

8:00 AM: AIDS Walk Check-In & Pancake Breakfast begins (open to all registered participants).

9:30AM – 10:00AM: G4G SF participants gather together (arrive then or earlier, if you want).

10:00AM: Official Pre-Walk Festivities & Announcements begin.

10:30AM: 5K Walk Begins; approx. time, 1.5 hours. Route is entirely with-in the park.

12:00PM-3:00PM: Post Walk Picnic. G4G participants are welcome to stay as long as they want, whether registered or not.  AIDS Walk registered participants will have access to the food tent.

Public Transit: A 10-minute walk from the N-Judah’s Carl St/Hillway Ave stop in Cole Valley, plus several bus routes with-in a short walk.  SF MUNI Metro bus and light rail schedule. There is limited nearby parking with-in the park.
