Join us to send off the Riders & Roadies for the final AIDS/Lifecycle!
Our annual kickoff to Pride month is always popular! We’ll be at Bike Parking, where Riders will check in their bikes before the big ride-out the next day.
This will be the final AIDS/Lifecycle, so it will hold deeper meaning than ever before. Let’s send them off with the best Day 0 experience yet!
Slots: 30 – two 15 member shifts
Date: Saturday May 31, 2025
Time: 6:45am – 3pm, Two Shifts
* Shift 1, 15 slots: *UPDATE* – Now 7:30am arrival (was 6:45am) – 12:00pm end
* Shift 2, 15 slots: 11:30am arrival – 3:00pm end
Location: Cow Palace Arena & Event Center, 2600 Geneva Ave, in Daly City.
- There is free onsite parking.
- Public transportation options
Tasks:
- The Bike Parking team will be escorting participants to park their bikes on previously set-up racks. We’ll give them stickers to identify their bike locations when they return. We will lend misc assistance to participants, such as helping them get their bikes on or off the racks, adjust bikes to make space for others to be added, answer questions or provide directions to the best of our ability, and assist as needed with occasional tasks beyond bike parking.
Additional info:
- Follow the signs to Volunteer Check-in area to sign-in and receive your ALC Volunteer t-shirt.
- Lunch and water will be provided. Breakfast will not be provided.
- Wear layers. Bike parking will be inside but the facility is often cool. There might be some doors left open where cold air will enter, or occasional outdoor tasks required.
Additional Pride Month Events!
Saturday, June 7: We’ll be staffing Heels for Hope, the annual fundraising event for our friends at Maitri. This is an evening service project, 430-10pm.
Sunday, June 14: Our second annual Pride Social is being planned for 1-3pm in Dolores Park. No work! Just fun!
Saturday, June 28 & Sunday, June 29: Our first ever official SF Pride service project! We’ll have shifts available each day for the SF Pride Beverage Booth at the Civic Center Festival.
Sunday, June 29: To close out Pride Month, we’ll be helping to take down the annual Pink Triangle on Twin Peaks starting at 4:30pm.
