G4G SF and Pomeroy Rec & Rehab Service Event

Gay For Good volunteers will be helping to clear up the grounds of the Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center. This is an annual favorite event, and we’re told there’s lots for us to do, following the recent high winds which have destroyed a fence leaving lots of scattered debris. We’ll also be weeding, sweeping and clearing paths to make this a pleasurable place to be for the users of the Center.

Date: Saturday, March 22, 2025
Time: 9am – 1pm  (please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and group photo)
Location: The Pomeroy Center is located at 207 Skyline Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94132
Meet outside the entrance of the main building.

Public Transport: 23 bus to Sloat & 39th (8-min walk), 58 bus to Zoo Rd & Armory (2-min walk).

Recommended Attire: Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes. Gloves will be provided.

COVID Guidelines: Masks are optional. Please cancel if you are not feeling well.  

About Our Partner: Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center is a San Francisco nonprofit located in the Outer Sunset neighborhood, adjacent to the zoo. The Center operates as a community day center for children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic and acquired brain injuries. Our participants come to the Center daily and participate in educational classes, recreational programs and vocational services that encourage self development, independence and friendship.
