G4G San Francisco + National AIDS Memorial Quilt | January 25, 2025

The AIDS Quilt’s home needs some TLC!

We’ll be cleaning and organizing the Quilt warehouse in San Leandro. Tasks include sweeping & mopping floors, organizing shelves & storage areas, organizing quilting supplies, and inspecting Quilt panels to see if any repairs are needed. We can even help with those repairs; no quilting experience required! There might be some heavy lifting and some climbing up ladders for those who are comfortable doing so.

Where: 130 Doolittle Dr, Suites 2 &13, San Leandro 94577. There is plenty of onsite parking. Note: The address is actually for D&S Garden Supplies.

When: Saturday, January 25, 9:45am – 2pm.

Who: 25 volunteers needed

Getting there:  There is no convenient mass transit. If you are unable to get there by car, we can provide shuttling from the closest BART station to the warehouse, and back at the end of the day.

If you have a car and would be willing to carpool, or if you need assistance with transportation, please let us know at sanfrancisco@gayforgood.org no later than Wednesday, January 22nd.

What else? Snacks, drinks, and lunch will be provided. Wear clothing that can get dirty, and bring layers as the warehouse can be cool during the earlier hours.
