Join Gay4Good SF for a Habitat Restoration in Partnership with the MWH/Webcor Queer Alliance & Del Monte True Colors ERG!

For our second Pride month volunteer project we’re excited to partner with MWH/Webcor’s Queer Alliance and Del Monte’s True Colors ERG to perform a habitat restoration at Heron’s Head Park!

We will be assisting the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department with the Heron’s Head Park Shoreline Resilience Project, helping restore and enhance wetlands and upland habitat along the Bay shoreline in Bayview Hunters Point to stabilize the shoreline and improve habitat.

Date: Saturday June 17
Time: 10am – 1pm

**Please arrive by 9:45am for G4G SF’s gather around, announcements, and group pictures!**

Volunteer Spots: We have RSVP slots for 25 volunteers.

Location: The EcoCenter at Heron’s Head Park, 32 Jennings Street, San Francisco. There’s plenty of parking on-site and it’s a 6-10 minute walk via the 19 or 44 MUNI bus (Middle Point Rd & Acacia Ave stop).

San Francisco Recreation and Parks Electronic Waiver: All G4G volunteers are required to fill out a San Francisco Rec and Parks electronic waiver via phone or computer before the day of the event.  Upon RSVPing, please fill out the following electronic waiver.

Additional Info:

  • Wear layers of clothes you don’t mind getting dirty – long pants and long sleeved shirt
  • Wear sturdy closed-toed shoes with good tread
  • Bring rain-gear and/or sunblock and sun hat, weather permitting
  • Bring water bottle
  • The event will take place rain or shine—barring high winds or dangerous weather conditions
