WHAT: Join Gay For Good San Francisco, California State Parks and Recreation, and California State Parks Foundation to help with park clean-up.

This park was the first California park developed to bring state park values into the urban setting. The location was originally developed by the US Navy during World War II and is now a recreation area, home to rabbits, hawks, brown pelicans, and other native wildlife.

WHEN: Saturday, August 20 from 9:30 am to Noon.

WHERE: 500 Hunters Point Expressway (not Boulevard) Take the Candlestick Park exit off U.S. 101 in San Francisco

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Water and snacks will be available, but we recommend bringing your own bottle.
  • Tools will be provided.
  • Wear layers, the location is typically cool.

OPTIONAL COFFEE/LUNCH AFTER THE EVENT:

  • Details to be provided to registered volunteers closer to the event.
