G4G SAN FRANCISCO + CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS

What: Join Gay For Good San Francisco and California State Parks, to help with park clean-up at Candlestick Point.

This park was the first California park developed to bring state park values into the urban setting. The location was originally developed by the US Navy during World War II and is now a recreation area, home to rabbits, hawks, brown pelicans, and other native wildlife.

We’ll be picking up trash on the beach and removing an invasive plant species to help keep the park looking great and visitor-ready!

When: Saturday, November 11 from 9am to Noon.

Where: Candlestick Point State Recreation Area (exact location to be confirmed)

Additional Details:

• Water and snacks will be available, but we recommend bringing your own bottle.
• Tools will be provided.
• Wear layers, long sleeves recommended for this work, plus the location is typically cool.
