G4G San Diego + Surfrider San Diego | October 7, 2023

Beach cleanup! A day out on the sand, let’s get moving volunteers and clean our beach! Join us as we partner with our friends at Surfrider San Diego for a beach cleanup. San Diego is still feeling the impacts from Tropical Storm Hillary, and this is a great way to get out and help make a difference in our community. Help clean all the trash and debris that has made it way to our beautiful beaches. This is a great opportunity to give back to our environment and our community!

Time:  8:45am to 11:00am
Location: 1910 Abbott Street, San Diego CA 92107

Meet-Up Location: Ocean Beach Veteran’s Plaza (located south of the Lifeguard Station)

Parking:  Parking is available at the location. There are two free parking lots near the meeting location, south and north of the meeting site. The south lot may be closed for an event, so plan accordingly and arrive early to find parking. Volunteers are encouraged to carpool.

Surfrider Registration:

After registering with Gay For Good, all volunteers will need to register with Surfrider at the following link: Register Surfrider

Additional Details:

• Face coverings are encouraged to be worn by unvaccinated volunteers
• Casual and comfortable clothing
• Closed toe shoes are required
• Don’t forget sunscreen and/or a hat for sun protection
• Bring a water bottle or two and a snack
• Feel free to bring work gloves and a bucket
• If there is light rain, the event will still be held
• Limited to 30 volunteers
