G4G San Diego + Surfrider San Diego October 5, 2024

National Coming Out Day with a Beach cleanup! We are partnering with our friends at the Kiwanis Club of Hillcrest All-Inclusive, San Diego PRIDE, The San Diego LGBT Community Center and TurnOut to celebrate National Coming Out Day. Join the celebration of this special day with bingo games, prizes, coffee, sweets and more! After the festivities, we will all join forces to support our host, Surfrider, and clean up the beach. Help clean all the trash and debris that has made its way to our beautiful beaches. This is a great opportunity to give back to our environment and our community!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EVERY VOLUNTEER TO KNOW

EVENT DATE: Saturday, October 5

TIME:  8:00am to 11:00am

LOCATION: 1910 Abbott Street, San Diego CA 92107

MEETING LOCATION: Saratoga Park (located north of the Lifeguard Station

PARKING:  Parking is available at the location. There are two free parking lots near the meeting location, south and north of the meeting site. The south lot may be closed for an event, so plan accordingly and arrive early to find parking.

Volunteers are encouraged to carpool.

 

SURFRIDER REGISTRATION:

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Face coverings are encouraged to be worn by unvaccinated volunteers
• Casual and comfortable clothing
• Closed toe shoes are required
• Don’t forget sunscreen and/or a hat for sun protection
• Bring a water bottle or two and a snack
• Feel free to bring work gloves and a bucket
• If there is light rain, the event will still be held
• Limited to 30 volunteers
