G4G San Diego + Pride by the Beach 06/1/2024

We are partnering with our friends at Pride by the Beach in Oceanside for their annual Pride celebration. We will be supporting as Pride Ambassadors and at the Letters of Love station. As a Pride Ambassador, volunteers will be answering questions and engage with festival goers, fill in for other volunteers while they take a break, and help keep the festival area clean by picking up trash and changing out trash cans. The Letters of Love station helps people write letters to themselves which will be sent to them in the future. The letters are supposed to be something that will help guests reflect on their growth and resilience and promote hope for their futures! This is a great opportunity to celebrate our Pride!

Date: Saturday, June 1
Time:  11am to 3pm
Location: 300 N. Coast Hwy., Oceanside, CA 92054

(The festival will take place over Pier View Way between N. Nevada Street and N. Coast Hwy.)

Meeting Location: Volunteers will need to check in at the volunteer booth, which is near the main stage.

Parking: The Civic Center has a free public parking structure at 300 N. Coast Hwy., Oceanside, CA 92054. Additional parking can be found at the 300 block of N. Tremont Street, Oceanside, CA 92054

Volunteers are welcome to use public transportation or purchase parking in a different location.

Additional Details:

• Face coverings are encouraged to be worn by unvaccinated volunteers
• Casual and comfortable clothing
• Closed toe shoes are required
• Bring/wear sunscreen
• Limited to 12 volunteers
• Must be 18 years or older
