G4G Rocky Mountains + Carbondale Arts + KDNK • Feb. 11–13

Gay For Good Rocky Mountains is once again partnering with Carbondale Creative District and KDNK!

Volunteer with Gay For Good Rocky Mountains this coming Valentine’s Day weekend as we join forces with Carbondale Creative District and KDNK to bring back Light the Night with Love, an interactive HeART Walk along the Rio Grande trail through downtown Carbondale.  Light installations and surprise performances will emerge from the darkness along the way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This year we will have a selection of volunteer roles over three days!
Scroll down to view a variety of shifts and reserve your spot to volunteer on  February 11th, 12th and 13th. Or,  pick a couple of shifts and let’s help  to ensure this fundraiser is a great success!

Friday, February 11:

• Shift 1: Clean Up: Collect Farolitos
  Time: 8–9:30 pm (4 spots)
  After the last group departs begin to collect farolitos and carefully place upright in a rolling cart, turning off electric candles and replacing them into farolitos. There will be a vehicle to deposit the boxes into.

Saturday February 12:

• Shift 2: Check-In Support—Box Office
  Time: 5–8 pm (4 spots)
  Meet at the entrance of the event: 4th Street and the Rio Grande Trail. Check in guests and sell tickets. Answer general questions.

• Shift 3: Peacekeepers
  Time: 5–8 pm (8 spots)
  Stand at entrances and exits to help with the flow. Check on art installations to ensure they are working and guests are respecting them. Report to Event Director.

• Shift 4: Strike Team: Collect Farolitos
  Time: 8–10 pm (8 spots)
  Once the last group leaves, take down the entryway and collect farolitos. This job is super important and helpful to the non-profits making the event happen so thank you in advance for taking on this role.

Sunday, February 13

• Shift 5: Clean Up Decor Strike Team
  Time: 11am–1pm (4 spots)
  Take down tree lights and complete any unfinished clean-up from the night before.
