     December 15, 2019
     11:30 am - 2:00 pm

The Hope Center at Pullen connects young people aging out of foster care in Wake County with the resources and support they need for a successful transition to adulthood. Join us as we help brighten their holiday season by decorating and stuffing about 30 Christmas stockings with items that they will need for this transition. Of particular need are the following:

1) Toiletry items (travel-size shampoos, conditioners, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc).
2) Gloves/Hats
3) Socks
4) Gift cards for $5-$10 (Starbucks, Movie Theaters, Itunes, etc)
5) Perfumes/Colognes
6) Bath Bombs/Bubble Baths
7) Scented Candles
8) Ear buds/head phones
9) Nail polish/Nail Hygiene kits
10) Jewelry
11) Candy

No time to shop or perhaps you can’t attend but would like to contribute?  We have arranged for an Amazon wish list and the items to be sent to the project leader’s house who will bring them to the project. Please use the following link: Hope Center Amazon wish-list (once the Amazon link opens, click on “The Hope Center” on the left).

The project will be hosted at Open Table United Methodist Church, 824 N. Bloodworth St. in Raleigh (27604). Open Table is “a church for all” and have kindly invited us to partake in their “Ugly Christmas Sweater” potluck at 11:30  prior to the start of the project.

This is a family friendly event. The stockings and decorating supplies will be provided. We will have extra stockings on hand for those who want to make one for themselves, so bring the kids. Shortly before the event, the project leader will contact you with further details.
