G4G Raleigh-Durham + Sleep in Heavenly Peace | September 7, 2024

Join us as we work with Sleep In Heavenly Peace at their BUNKS ACROSS AMERICA build event!

Sleep In Heavenly Peace is a national organization whose mission is to build beds for children in need who would otherwise be sleeping on a couch, on blankets or on the floor. Their motto is NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!  For more info on SHP click HERE

G4G volunteers will be working with other volunteers to help build beds from donated lumber. Our duties can include sanding, staining, sawing and assembling the beds.

DATE: Saturday, September 7

TIME: 9:00 AM -Noon

LOCATION: 4831 Grove Barton Rd, Raleigh (Lowes Home Improvement  parking lot)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 15  (Projects tend to fill up quickly, so please be pretty certain you will be able to attend before signing up)

IMPT: All volunteers will additionally need to register with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.  Details on registering with our partner will be sent in your confirmation email from Gay for Good.

After the project is completed, we can grab lunch nearby. The G4G team leader (Todd) will contact you with further details as the project date draws near.
