Let’s Raise Supplies For The Open Door, Inc. (And Get A Boost Of Yoga)
This will be a free yoga class with the admission cost being a suggested donation to The Open Door, an organization that helps chronically homeless persons with HIV. This event will be sponsored by Union Fitness and will take place outdoors at their facility in Nova Place. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. A limited number of mats will be available to borrow at the session. This event is rain or shine (as Union Fitness has a tent we can use if it rains). The class will begin at 10am and last approximately an hour. After the class, we will convene nearby for food & drinks (more details to come on this later).
Date: Sunday, June 11
Time: 10am–11am
Location: 100 S Commons, Pittsburgh, PA 15212; The Union Fitness lawn where the yoga class will take place is located directly in front of Federal Galley within the Nova Place complex. (Multiple bus stations are located nearby. Street parking is available nearby surrounding Allegheny Commons Park. Paid garage parking is available at NOVA Place.)
What To Wear: Yoga clothes! Anything stretchy and comfortable that you can move in. Feel free to wear your finest Pride apparel.
What To Bring: A Yoga Mat (a limited number of mats will be available to borrow at the event) and a suggested donation :

This event is open and accessible to all yoga skill levels, including beginners and first timers!
About our partner: The Open Door, Inc. believes EVERYONE deserves a home. They provide affordable, safe, and supportive homes for individuals living with HIV who are NOT eligible for more traditional housing programs. They also provide representative payee services to individuals who experience housing instability but may not need the additional supports of their housing program. They welcome ALL people including those who use substances, have mental health diagnoses, and have criminal histories.
