Help Keep Wissahickon Valley Park Beautiful and Sustainable

Join us as we partner with Friends of the Wissahickon and join long-time steward of the Wissahickon David Bower and his dedicated corps of Crew Leaders and Trail Ambassadors on a variety of stewardship projects in the park!

Volunteers will be doing a combination of clearing trail corridors, maintaining planting sites, removing invasive exotic vegetation, and more. And…if the weather stays hot and dry…which seems pretty likely!….we’ll be doing a lot of watering of plants.

There’s gonna be a variety of tasks for folks with various interests. No special skills or experience are required. All tools and supplies will be provided, and volunteers will have a thorough orientation and safety talk, and hands-on leadership.

Plus, bring a lunch and join us afterwards for a picnic in the park. There are benches and picnic tables on site!
