G4G Philadelphia + Cradles to Crayons in The Giving Factory

Join G4G Philly to volunteer with Cradles to Crayons!  Volunteers will sort, inspect and pack donated clothing that will be distributed to children in need.

WHEN: Tuesday, August 17th from 6 to 8 p.m.

WHERE:  Philadelphia Design and Distribution Center
4700 Wissahickon Ave Suite 142, Philadelphia, PA 19144

ABOUT: Cradles to Crayons (C2C) provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. Once you register with Gay4Good, you will also need to register with C2C and will be sent an email to register with C2C directly.

Important info:

If any of the below situations apply to you or members of your family/group, please do not register at this time: 

• Those who are experiencing, or have experienced within the last 14 days, symptoms associated with Covid-19, including but not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, runny nose, congestion, and loss of taste or smell.
• Those who have been exposed to Covid-19 or who, in the last 14 days, have tested positive for Covid-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities.

We will ask you about these conditions upon your arrival to the Giving Factory and will ask you to leave if any of these conditions apply at that time.

As you enter the building, a C2C staff member will:
– Ask you to sanitize your hands,
– Provide you a with a mask that you will be required to wear. We encourage you to wear your original mask on top of the mask we provide (double masking). All volunteers must wear the provided mask for the duration of the shift.
