Join Gay For Good OC/Long Beach assist Urban Community Outreach’s Fundraiser Event! Volunteers are needed for event set up and in the kitchen. Afterward, volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy the festivities. Urban Community Outreach helps feed the hungry in Downtown Long Beach every week. Fundraisers like this helps them keep going!
Date: Saturday, September 28th
Time: 1pm–4pm
Location: First Congregational Church of Long Beach, 241 Cedar Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802 (Use entrance labeled ‘Pilgrim Hall’ on Cedar Avenue)
Parking: Street meters are available. Nearby parking garages are free for the first 2 hours.
Age Restriction: 14+ accompanied by an adult.
Covid Guidelines: All volunteers must wear a facemask properly, covering both the mouth and nose.
Additional Details: Once you are in the courtyard, the dining hall on the left. Volunteers with long hair must have their hair pulled back. This is a commercial kitchen setting so please wear closed-toed shoes with good grip, a face mask, and be ready to channel your inner Iron Chef!
