Volunteer With G4G OC/Long Beach at This Year’s Best Buddies Friendship Walk!

Join G4G OC/Long Beach as we partner with Best Buddies International for their annual Friendship Walk! Volunteers are needed to assist with full event. This is the leading walk in the country supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (also known as IDD).

Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025

Time: 8:00am-12:00pm (2 Shifts) Sign up for one, both, or all!

8am-10am: Registration (Assist walkers with completing registration paperwork, checking in, and collecting their Friendship Walk t-shirts.)

9:30am-12pm: Walk Route (Cheer on walkers as they walk through Shoreline Park and Shoreline Village…bring portable Bluetooth speaker to blast tunes if you’re willing & able)

Location: Shoreline Aquatic Park
200 Aquarium Way Long Beach, CA 90802 (head toward the lighthouse)

Additional details: Shoes should be closed toe and comfortable. This event is outdoors so a water bottle and sunscreen are also recommended.

Age requirement: Volunteers under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
