G4G NYC + FABSCRAP | March 30, 2024

G4G NYC is heading to FABSCRAP for a morning of fabric sorting. FABSCRAP needs our help to save designer textiles from landfills! As volunteers, we will sort through fabric samples and swatches, readying them to be saved for reuse.

Date: Saturday, March 30
Time: 9am–Noon
Location: Brooklyn Army Terminal, Building B, Unit 5H-4 140 58th Street, Brooklyn NY 11220

Afterwards, volunteers can take home five pounds of FREE fabric plus 30% discount on anything additional.

Two-step Registration Process: Volunteers will also need to register with FABSCRAP. Details will be sent in your confirmation email.

Transportation Options:
• Subway: N/R to 59th Street
• Bus: B9, B11, and B37 Lines
• Bike: Use the bike lanes on 4th Avenue and 57th Street to approach the Brooklyn Army Terminal’s Pedestrian Entrance on 58th Street, off of 2nd Avenue. Free indoor and outdoor bike parking is available at the entrance to Building B.
• Driving: 20 minutes from Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge or the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and connecting to the Gowanus Expressway (I-278). Free, secure on-site parking is available at the Pier 4/NYC Ferry parking lot.
• Ferry: South Brooklyn Route

COVID Guidelines: Consider the health and safety of your fellow volunteers and the FABSCRAP team. Familiarize yourself with the symptoms of COVID-19 and cancel your session if you are not feeling well, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or had direct contact with an individual diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
