G4G NYC + Callen-Lorde Rainbow Run | May 3, 2025

Join Gay for Good New York City at Callen-Lorde’s 10th Annual Rainbow Run!

Volunteers will be placed by Callen-Lorde Staff throughout the volunteer time frame of 8:30am-12pm. Roles include the following:

• Registration Table: Be behind the scenes and kick things off! This is the first stop for participants. Duties include checking in runners and walkers, distributing bibs and incentives, answering questions, and keeping the area organized. Moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs.) may be required.
• Water Bottle Table & Merch Tables: Keep the energy flowing! Volunteers at these tables will distribute water to participants and assist with selling Callen-Lorde merchandise. You’ll help hydrate and celebrate runners while representing the spirit of the day.
• Start & Finish Line Cheer Squad:
  • Start Line: Guide participants to the starting point and get them pumped with cheers and encouragement!
  • Finish Line: Welcome racers across the finish line with big energy and cold bottles of water. Help keep foot traffic moving smoothly. Time: 9:00-12:30pm
• Course Marshals: Keep the vibe high along the course! Volunteers will direct participants along the route, cheer them on, and maintain the positive energy. You’ll be a key part of the experience—think signs, shouts, and lots of smiles. Standing for long periods is required.

What To Wear/Bring: It’s an outdoor event so wear sunscreen, cool clothing, and layers depending on weather!

About Our Partner: The Rainbow Run takes place both in-person and virtually and is a 5K or 10K fun run/leisure walk promoting health and wellness while supporting the lifesaving work of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center!
