G4G New York City + New York Harm Reduction Educators

Join G4G NYC to help New York Harm Reduction Educators (NYHRE) pack harm reduction kits!

Volunteers will be tasked with packing safer sex kits, safer substance use kits, overdose rescue kits, fentanyl testing kits, and first aid kits. The kits help reduce the risk of preventable harm from substance use or sex work.

The event is indoors with casual attire. Please bring a water bottle and light snack as need be, and have a mask on hand if Covid protocols and CDC guidelines require them at the time of your shift.

This is an ongoing, bi-weekly, mid-week project. Sign up for one or more shifts as your schedule allows.

More about our nonprofit partner:  NYHRE fights the stigmas associated with drug use and sex work every day. Their cornerstone services – syringe exchange, education and outreach – are central to the mission. Their street-side delivery model brings NYHRE’s services to sites in East Harlem and the South Bronx every day. With our help, they will have the supplies to hand out to at risk populations.
