G4G Los Angeles + Rose Parade Decorating | December 28, 2024

Volunteer with Gay for Good LA to Decorate Floats for the 2025 Rose Parade

We’re teaming up with Artistic Entertainment Services to decorate Rose Parade floats. Volunteer tasks will include cutting, prepping, and gluing both dry materials and fresh flowers onto the floats. Light painting may also be needed.

Date: Saturday, December 28, 2024

Schedule:
8:30am mandatory orientation
9:00am float decorating
1:00pm departure for those who need to leave early
3:00 departure for those who are able to stay longer and work a 6 hour shift

IMPT: All volunteers must start at 8:30am for the orientation and commit to staying for a minimum of 4 hours. 

Location: 700 Seco St, Pasadena, CA 91103

Ages: 12+ (12-17 need parent or guardian to sign form)

Parking/Transportation: Free parking is located near Rosemont Pavilion and The Rose Bowl. Drop offs and pick ups are allowed in front of Rosemont Pavilion for those with limited mobility. Map can be found here.

What To Wear/Bring:

• IMPT: All volunteers will need to print and sign the Artistic Entertainment waiver found here and bring it to the event.
• Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, painted, or torn. Dress in layers since temperatures and weather can vary greatly, and it’s often cold inside the facility.
• Bring your own painter’s or work gloves and scissors, as these are not provided.
• Bring any food or drinks you may want during your shift.
