Join Gay For Good Los Angeles as we work with Habitat for Humanity

Join Gay For Good Los Angeles as we volunteer with Habitat for Humanity LA at their ReStore location.  ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers. All proceeds from ReStore sales are used to support the Habitat for Humanity mission. Our volunteers will assist with staging furniture, cleaning inventory, assisting and greeting customers, and approving/ rejecting donations.

Date: Saturday, April 29th

Time:  10:00am – 2:00pm

Location: 1071 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90019

Age Restriction: 18+

Additional Details: Please dress in comfortable clothing and shoes for standing the duration of the shift. Please bring water, snacks, or anything you need to be comfortable.

IMPT: This project has a two-part registration process. Please register with Gay For Good AND Habitat using the instructions below. 

Please follow the link to register on the Habitat for Humanity VolunteerHub. You will have the option to select working indoors or outdoors for your volunteer shift. (Donation support = outside & restore support = inside)

• Step 1: Create a volunteer account.
• Step 2: Enter join code gforg to access our volunteer slots.
• Step 3: Go to calendar on the April 29th and select “sign-up”.

 

Donate: There is also a donation drop-off campaign to help bring in additional donations. If you are unable to volunteer, you can still donate. Donations are encouraged between 10am-1pm. Please click on the link to see a full list of which items can and cannot be donated.
