It’s Back to School Time!
Join G4G LA as we assist Acts of Compassion with their Back to School Giveaway to make sure families in need have school supplies and food! Volunteer tasks may include setting up for the giveaway, handing out the school supplies and food to the families, and cleaning up after the event.
Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025
Time: 9am – 1pm
Location: Free Will Baptist Church, 8323 Figueroa South St., Los Angeles, CA 90003
Volunteer Slots: 25
Ages: 16+
Project Lead: Andrew
What To Wear/Bring: We will be both inside and outside. Please wear sunscreen, closed toe shoes, and dress accordingly, as it will be hot
Optional to Bring: This is not required. However, if you are able, kindly bring any back to school supplies that you can, specifically paper, notebooks, pens and pencils. You can also ahead of time ask your friends, family and neighbors for donations and bring those as well!
Parking/Transportation: There is no parking at the church. Please arrive early in order to find parking on side streets. It is strongly suggested that you take rideshare.

In addition to assisting with Acts of Compassion’s Back to School Giveaway we are also helping them to give underserved kids an amazing Christmas Party this December! In preparation for this fun holiday event, we’ve already opened up our Amazon Wishlist!
We have lots of gifts to choose from – even Amazon cards. Help us start fulfilling the Wishlist early!
When ordering, please mark “deliver to Andrew” to make sure we get all the gifts so we can easily get them to the Christmas Party!
About Our Partner: Acts of Compassion focuses on making the maximum positive effort for their community by providing weekly meals for the Homeless community and hosting their Annual Christmas Party for kids.
