G4G will always respect and comply with our service project partner’s COVID protocols. That’s the right thing to build meaningful relationships and to keep the people living within our community safe. G4G DFW commits to indicate with each service project the service project partners protocols as it relates to the requirement of being fully vaccinated or not in order to volunteer. We kindly ask that volunteers pay close attention to the protocols listed with each service project before signing up to volunteer. For all of our volunteers, we ask that you keep a mask handy in case we’re asked to use them. If the people in our community need us to take other COVID precautions, we will kindly comply, without hesitation.
What: Cleaning up trash from the shores of White Rock Lake.
When: Saturday, September 11, 8:00am – 12:00noon
Where — Picking Up Supplies: For the Love of the Lake Headquarters, 1152 N. Buckner Blvd., Suite 123, Dallas, TX 75218.
Where — Lake Clean Up: Bath House Cultural Center, 521 E. Lawther Dr., Dallas, TX 75218.
COVID Protocols: You must wear a mask and practice social distancing from anyone other than those living in the same household. Please always wear your gloves.
Details:
Please use sunscreen, insect repellent, work clothes, sturdy shoes, and gloves.
— Picking Up Supplies —
FTLOTL needs you to drive up to their headquarters, wear a mask, and stay in your car while their staff sign you in and put cleanup supplies in your trunk. If at all possible, try to go through the line between 8:00am – 8:15am.
— Lake Clean Up —
Once you get your supplies, meet the rest of us on the lake shore next to the Bath House Cultural Center between 8:15am – 8:20am. If you miss us, look for people dressed in G4G or Pride gear heading towards the dam.
Afterwards, please join us for lunch at Torchy’s Tacos in Casa Linda Plaza, 9440 Garland Rd. Suite 234, Dallas, TX 75218.
For the Love of the Lake preserves and enhances White Rock Lake Park by organizing regular clean-up activities, tree planting events, and raising money to fund improvements to the park.
