Spend A Morning Helping Out Four-Legged Friends

G4G Dallas-Fort Worth is joining up with the SPCA of Texas to help with tasks around the shelter such as building enrichment treats for the animals, helping assemble food bags for their drive-thru pet food pick-up, and also other service projects for the shelter.

Time: 9:30am–12:00pm
Location: SPCA of Texas, Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Campus, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, TX 75212

Please park in the western side of the lot. This keeps the parking closest to the main entrance accessible for potential adopters, and the pets (and people) who are entering the veterinary clinic.

Please wear clothes that will enable you to move comfortably, and that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required. While most of the planned activities are indoors, we may have a specific need during this group experience for a portion of the time to be outside. For this reason, we recommend that you bring sunscreen, hats, and bug repellent.

The SPCA does not have vending machines or water fountains, so please bring your own bottled water, coffee, etc.

Additional Important Information:

1. Each participant will be required to complete a volunteer waiver before the session begins.
2. Please collect these household items and bring them to the volunteer event:
   • Empty paper towel/toilet paper rolls
   • Wine bottle corks
   • Brown paper bags
   • Shoeboxes
   • Cardboard egg cartons
   • Soft drink boxes
3. If you are allergic to cats, dogs, or peanuts, please let us know in advance.
4. A participant donation of $25 is encouraged so that SPCA of Texas can pay for the supplies needed not only for the enrichment built at the event but also other goodies for the animals.
