G4G DFW + Cowtown Great American Cleanup
March 23, 2024
8:00 am - 11:00 am
Join G4G DFW as we partner with Keep Fort Worth Beautiful and the 39th Annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup. We will be cleaning Buck Sansom Park in the Historic Northside neighborhood of Fort Worth.
The Cowtown Great American Cleanup—happening at parks all over the city on the same day—is the largest annual litter cleanup and beautification event of the year. In 2023, Cowtown Cleanup volunteers removed over 174,000 pounds of trash from our city!
Date: Saturday, March 23
Time: 8am–11am
Location: Buck Sansom Pavilion 1, 3600 Sansom Park Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76106 (Parking lot and street parking available next to the baseball field. Accessible on bike, use the Trinity Trails bike paths. Nearest bus stop: Angle & 35th on Bus 45)
What To Wear: Dress for early spring. We will be in an outdoor environment—off trails, near creek, and wooded areas—and could have a cold morning with soggy soil conditions. Long sleeve shirts and thick pants recommended.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Consider bringing a grabbing/reaching claw for picking up trash if you are limited in your ability to bend.
Age Requirements: All are welcome, youth must be accompanied by an adult.
Afterwards: Join us for a volunteer appreciation party hosted by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful. This is totally optional and there will be food, music, pet adoptions, exhibitors, and a fashion show using rubbish as clothing. It is free for volunteers and located at: Sycamore Park, 2400 E. Vickery Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76104 from 11am–1pm.
