  • G4G Denver | Refugee Community Garden Workday
     June 10, 2023
     9:00 am - 12:00 pm

G4G Denver + DUG, IRC, and ReGeneration Now are cultivating community at Ellis Elementary Refugee Garden!

Join G4G Denver for a morning of revitalizing the community garden at Ellis Elementary! The garden is refugee-focused and co-managed by Denver Urban Gardens, the International Rescue Committee, and ReGeneration Now. The garden was abandoned before being “adopted” by these orgs and the community. Let’s grow some good!

Denver Urban Gardens was established in 1985 to support Denver residents in creating sustainable, food-producing neighborhood community gardens. Over the past 35+ years, their network of community gardens has expanded to six metro Denver counties as they have championed the power of plants, the people who grow them, and the communities they nourish.

International Rescue Committee helps people affected by humanitarian crises—including the climate crisis—to survive, recover and rebuild their lives. Founded at the call of Albert Einstein in 1933, the IRC is now at work in over 40 crisis-affected countries as well as communities throughout Europe and the Americas. They deliver lasting impact by providing health care, helping children learn, and empowering individuals and communities to become self-reliant, always seeking to address the inequalities facing women and girls.

ReGeneration Now is a non-profit entity focused on gardens for and by refugee populations.
