G4G Denver with Metro Caring

Want to help with delivering nutritious food to those in need? Join us at Metro Caring where we will be helping customers, stocking shelves, and sorting food deliveries!

Metro Caring was founded over fifty years ago when five community organizations came together to keep nutritious, fresh, and local food on the table for everyone in our community. As Colorado’s leading frontline anti-hunger organization, Metro Caring works with our community to meet people’s immediate need for nutritious food while building a movement to address the root causes of hunger. Volunteers make the community feel welcome, keep the fresh food market stocked, and ensure all food is of high quality.

Date: Tuesday, December 3rd
Time: 5:30pm – 7:45pm
Location: Main Warehouse – 1100 E 18th Ave, Denver, CO 80218 (Do not park in the Metro Caring lot. Rec street parking anywhere nearby. Enter through the double doors in back of the building off of the Metro Caring parking lot)

Project tasks: There are a variety of volunteer roles, from welcoming shoppers, sorting food, stocking the shelves, and more. Everyone will be assigned a role on the day of the shift and it could change so that you can try new things. Notify your G4G leader if there are any limitations (physical or developmental) that we should be aware of, so we can best accommodate you.

Before you register for any event, please ensure that you are available and willing to attend. By registering you are confirming to our non-profit partners that you will be in attendance and it takes the opportunity away from any other interested volunteers.
