G4G Denver partners with Food Bank of the Rockies

We are thrilled to partner with Food Bank of the Rockies for the first time! Come out to sort and pack donations and promote food access in the Denver metro.

  • Food Bank of the Rockies ignites the power of community to nourish people facing hunger. They are the largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region, which makes them uniquely suited to answer the enormous challenge of hunger, which affects 1 out of 8 people in our communities. Since 1978, FBotR has put the power of community to work for neighbors in need. Through partnerships. Through programs. Through people. Through you.

Date: Saturday, October 22
Time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Location:Main Warehouse – 10700 E. 45th Ave. Denver, CO 80239 (parking is located on the south side of the building)

Project tasks: Tasks may include donation sorting, packing, and facilities cleanup. Most volunteering takes place in an active warehouse setting and requires the ability to move freely, stand, walk for long periods of time, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds. Notify your G4G leader if there are any limitations (physical or developmental) that we should be aware of, so we can best accommodate you.

IMPORTANT: In addition to registering here, you must be signed up on the FBotR website 2 weeks prior to the shift (by 10/8/22 ). Any spot not filled prior to that deadline will be released back out to the public and will no longer be guaranteed for our group.

  1. Complete G4G registration
  2. Complete the FBotR registration using the group registration link to register yourself for the event:  http://gayforgood.foodbankrockies.volunteerhub.com/
  3. Click on the date and the green “Sign up” button next to the event on the page.
  4. You will be prompted to log in. If you do not have an account, you will create an account. (You do not need a join code and can skip this step.)
  5. As a part of the event registration, each person accepts the volunteer agreement and waiver.
  6. Once you have created an account and registered for the event, you will receive an automatic confirmation email.
