Gay for Good Denver is debuting at Sloan’s Lake for a mulch and debris removal fest with Denver Parks & Rec!

Join G4G Denver for a (hopefully) sunny morning of tree mulching and debris removal at beautiful Sloan’s Lake! Bring your sunscreen, your gloves, your Cliff bars, and your queer determination out to the park for a fun day of cleanup and community.

Date: Saturday, June 4
Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm
Location: 4700 W Byron Pl, Denver, CO 80212. (Meet in front of the office.)

Project tasks: Tree mulching and debris removal.

Project Leads: Brent Walker & Ben Gunderson
Volunteers Needed: 10-20
Age restrictions: Open to all! (Children must be supervised at all time.)

*Note: each volunteer must register separately!

What to bring:

• Bring your own gloves.
• Bring your own water jug/plenty of water/cups.
• Bring your signed liability waiver
• Wear sunscreen
• Dress appropriately for weather
• Sturdy footwear (no open toe shoes)
• Hat is recommended

Other DP&R Guidelines:

• COVID
  • Please stay home if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath.  We also recommend that those who are immunocompromised or otherwise at a higher health risk stay home.
  • Maintain physical distancing of at least 6’ from other workers when possible.
  • Masks are no longer required outdoors, but they are recommended for higher risk individuals and when working in very close proximity to others.
  • Practice good hygiene.  Don’t touch your face.  Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds – or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.
  • Avoid sharing tools if possible.  If you must share tools, wear gloves. Clean and sanitize tools when possible.
• All children must be supervised.
• Please do not bring pets!
