G4G DC + Wreaths Across America 2022

What: Join G4G DC as we partner with Wreaths Across America to lay remembrance wreaths on the tombstones of soldiers who served our country at the US Soldiers’ and Airmen’s National Cemetery off of North Capitol St., NW in Washington, DC (Please note the different location of our Wreaths Across America event this year)
Where: US Soldiers’ and Airmen’s National Cemetery (21 Harewood Rd, NW, Washington, DC 20001; https://goo.gl/maps/tkm55eEeoS2YeAwL6)
When: Saturday, December 17, 2022 (10:30am – 1:30pm; Wreaths Across America Day)
Order of Events
- 10:30 AM: Volunteers can help unload the trucks as they arrive (NO wreath laying)
- 12:00 PM: Ceremony begins (All volunteers must be on site by this time)
- 12:30 PM: Wreath laying begins
- 1:30 PM (approximately): Volunteers walk the grounds picking up trash (We can make our way to the after-event brunch location at this point)
- 2:00 PM: After-event brunch TBD
Transit Details: The nearest metro station is Georgia Ave-Petworth (Green Line)
Additional Information: This will be an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately! Also, be prepared to have a mask for times during the event where we may unable to practice social distancing.
