G4G DC + National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade

Join us as we volunteer as balloon handlers at the National Cherry Blossom Festival parade.

What: The parade is back this year and we’re limited to 25 volunteer spots, so feel free to register and we’ll keep you updated in the days leading up to the event! These spots will go fast…

When: Saturday, April 9th (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Where: Volunteer Check-In Tent on 9th Street NW and Madison Drive NW (East End Check In on the National Mall)

Nearest Metro Stations: Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter (Green, Yellow Lines), Smithsonian (Blue, Orange, Silver Lines)

Additional Information: Volunteers must be 18+ to participate as balloon handlers in the parade. All volunteers will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to participate. Masks (pink or black preferred to keep with Cherry Blossom branding) are required when social distancing is not possible for special events on the grounds of the Washington Monument. Remember to wear long black pants and appropriate closed-toe shoes; a Parade Volunteer T-shirt will be provided! Once registered with us, we may need to reach out to you individually to gather information needed by the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
