It’s Time For Another Successful Lucky Dog and Cat Adoption Event

Join Gay For Good DC as we once again partner with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to help find permanent homes for more than 100 dogs and cats!

Date: Sunday, May 5
Time: 11:30 am – 3:00 pm

Location: PetSmart Potomac Yard 3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria VA 22305. (Note that the nearest metro station is Potomac Yard on the Blue and Yellow lines, less than a 10-minute walk to PetSmart.)

Order of Events
11:30 am: Volunteer orientation begins; adoptable dogs arrive and are assigned to volunteer dog-handlers.
12:00–3:00pm: We have fun and work hard to get as many dogs and cats adopted as we can!

Number of Volunteers: 20 total dog- and cat-handlers

Additional Information: This will be an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately and remember sun screen! Please do not RSVP if you’re unable to commit to the full event.

All volunteer handlers must be at least 18 years old in order to handle a dog at an event. Youth age 7 or older may volunteer, but there is a strict requirement of one adult per youth, due to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue’s insurance policy.

Please join us for drinks and snacks after the event. Attendance is fully optional and attendees will be responsible for their own food and beverage costs. Full details will be announced via email closer to the event date.
