Join Gay for Good DC & Extra-Ordinary Birthdays
Through personalized birthday celebrations, Extra-Ordinary Birthdays connects with homeless children from a place of happiness rather than their current circumstances giving them what other children enjoy on their birthday—to feel valued and that they matter.
Volunteers will create Crepe Paper Surprises with party favors wrapped in colorful crepe paper. Kids race to find the prize inside, and then play additional games with the paper. It’s a favorite at every party, and with 6 kids per party, they go through a lot!
We will also tidy up overflowing party bins, sort donations, or sort/tidy up the gift-wrapping or goody bag toy stations.
Following the conclusion of the event, join us for brunch at a TBD restaurant nearby!
