Join G4G DC for our October volunteer service project with American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s “Out of the Darkness” Walk. We’ll assist in setting up (tents, table, chairs, signage) on the National Mall in advance of their fundraising Community Walk later in the day, on Saturday, October 23rd.
This will be a very hands-on project that includes unloading trucks, setting up tents, tables, and chairs, and placing boxes in designated areas.
WHERE: Lincoln Memorial (2 Lincoln Memorial Circle NW) – next to the Korean War Memorial informational kiosk
WHEN: Saturday, 10/23 (8:30 AM – 12 PM)
G4G DC Volunteer Timeline:
- 8:30-8:45 AM: Check-in with G4G DC team near the Lincoln Memorial (next to the Korean War Memorial informational kiosk)
- 8:45 AM- 12:00 PM: Hands on volunteer work supporting an amazing organization
- 12:15 PM: Optional group lunch TBD (for those who can join)
