Come join The Kelton House and Columbus’ Junior League members to prepare the gorgeous Kelton House Gardens and surrounding areas for the season and the upcoming Kelton House Garden Party! No gardening experience is needed!
We will be focusing on planting annuals and arranging the Kelton House garden beds to have the best possible first impression for our guests and visitors. No gardening experience is needed, and beginners are encouraged to come and get their hands dirty!
Date: Thursday, May 11
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Location: The Kelton House, 586 E Town St, Columbus, OH 43215
(On-street parking or JLC Lot next to 616 Franklin Ave. Columbus, 43215. Those with handicap placards or mobility needs may park in the museum driveway.)
Physical Requirements: Able to safely lift 10–30 lbs., crouching, kneeling, carrying small loads, using gardening hand tools.
Additional Information: Wear clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes and don’t forget a water bottle and sunscreen. Gardening tools will also be provided, but if you have them, please consider bringing gardening gloves, knee pads, brooms, large paper trash bags for lawn refuse, and/or gardening tools for trimming back branches (such as shears, lopers, or pruners).
