G4G Columbus + Habitat For Humanity

Our first ever home build! We will be partnering with Habitat Mid-Ohio to serve a local family—No experience necessary!  Tasks will vary and Habitat’s site leads will teach you everything you need to know. Come out and help Habitat, learn new skills, and meet some amazing people. Because of the length of time needed, we have broken this event out into 2 shifts. Please choose the time slot you’d like to volunteer for.

Date: March, 26, 2022

Parking: Parking is available on the street. Please remember not to leave any valuables in plain view inside your car.

Age Restrictions: Volunteers must be 16 years or older (and accompanied by an adult 21 or over if you are under 18).

COVID Guidelines: While on site, Habitat For Humanity encourages unvaccinated volunteers to continue to wear a protective face covering and social distance in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Attire: Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.  You must wear sturdy hard-soled shoes (work boots preferred).  Absolutely no sandals or open toed/open heeled shoes allowed.

Safety information and instruction of on-site tasks will be provided at the beginning of your shift!

Please bring the following items with you:

• Packed lunch (or plans to get lunch nearby on break)
• Water bottle labeled with your name

Please bring the following items with you if possible:

• Safety glasses
• Hard hat
• Work gloves
• Hand tools (hammer, tape measure, tool belt, etc.)
