G4G Columbus + COSI Learning Lunchbox Program

Join G4G Columbus as we partner with the COSI Museum to help pack their Learning Lunchboxes. Despite the name, no actual food goes into the lunchboxes. These boxes contain hands-on science activities for children in underserved communities, and especially those hit hardest by COVID-19. We have a total of 8-10 spots open for this event, and this will serve as the first event we have done with the COSI Museum! Due to the ongoing pandemic, face masks are required to be worn throughout the event, as well as temperature checks upon arriving. Gloves will be provided to pack the boxes. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. If you can help out, a special thank you from the COSI Museum will be included after we finish packing!

Date: Thursday, March 4, 1:30pm-4:00pm

Location: The COSI Museum – 333 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215 –**Important! The address listed will give you directions to the front entrance of the museum. Due to COVID, the museum has been closed to the public for safety reasons. We will be meeting at the back entrance which is on Washington Blvd (the back entrance faces the river and downtown Columbus). Please do not attempt to go into the front entrance of the building.  Parking details will be sent the day prior to the event.** 

Additional Details: Please arrive on time to the event as we will be given a safety briefing by the museum prior to packing. Ensure you are wearing a mask, and as always, if you aren’t feeling well, please stay home. Please ensure you bring your printed out safety waiver with you also. This, as well as specific parking instructions will be emailed to you the day prior.
