G4G – Columbus – AIDS Walk

Join us as we support the Columbus AIDS Walk & Equitas Health on April 14th as we help raise awareness and funds for HIV/AIDS service organizations through education and promotional activities leading up to the walk, and through the participation of corporations, walkers, runners, civic leaders, and community members together in this annual event.

Gay For Good will be part of the “Jack of All Trades” crew and helping out in the event of no-show volunteers (which happens with just about every event). This means jumping in and helping wherever there are holes, including: Registration – Checking walkers/runners in, Incentives – Handing out t-shirts and prizes to walkers/runners, Water and course markers – Handing out water to walkers/runners and cheering them on, and Mystery tasks! – Things always come up at events that we weren’t expecting!

The event can accommodate up to 10 volunteers and the shift will be from 8am-12pm at McPhearson Commons (the arch in the Arena District)
