Volunteers for PAWS Animal Shelter 10/3:

Join G4G-Chicago as we partner with PAWS Animal Shelter!

Volunteer groups will be given a tour of the facility followed by group projects based on the current need of the facility. Projects may include but are not limited to: organizing and distributing Pet Food Pantry donations, tending to dog and cat rooms, helping with basic cleaning, clinic duties, laundry, and other day-to-day needs. The visit includes a 20-30 minute orientation, followed by a group volunteer project.

For practical reasons and safety purposes, volunteers must follow the following protocol:

• All clothes should be washable and items you would not mind getting dirty. Please wear long pants (required) and preferably a long-sleeved shirt as well, as well as rubber-soled, closed-toed shoes/sneakers. Anyone not wearing appropriate attire will not be allowed to have any animal interaction.
• Avoid wearing perfume/cologne as some pets react negatively to new odors and avoid wearing dangling jewelry.
