Join Us For Holiday Baking With Misericordia!

Gay For Good Chicago is returning to the Misericordia Holiday Bakery to help them fulfill their holiday orders. Volunteers will scoop, mix, bake, package and display bakery products. No bakery experience required.

Time: 8:30am-12:30pm

Location: 1850 W. Thome Ave, Chicago, IL 60660

Volunteer Slots: 20

Ages: 13+ accompanied by an adult.

Parking/Transportation: Street parking available on W. Thome Ave. CTA- 155 and 22 buses stop nearby. Red Line to Granville, then rideshare over. If you need a ride because this site is not accessible by public transit, please email your Chicago G4G leaders!

Bakery Dress Code: Closed toed shoes, long pants, short/long sleeved shirt, and a hat/hair net. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own hat or will be given a hairnet to use by the team in the bakery.

Nut Allergy Notice: This bakery uses nuts.

Additional Information: The Misericordia Medical Team requires anyone that is working in areas directly with the residents while baking wear a mask. If you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask there are limited spaces available in areas that support our bakery, including the space where we are assembling and shipping out gifts.
