WHERE: Franklin Park, 1 Franklin Park Road, Boston, MA 02121
WHAT: Trans Resistance MA is a trans and community led organization who plans and organizes the annual Trans Resistance rally at Franklin Park. Throughout the year they create spaces, events and experiences that uplift the TQBIPOC community. They work in collaboration with other social justice networks in order to address the pressing, urgent, and emergent needs of marginalized communities across Massachusetts.
This year, Gay For Good – Boston is showing our support by providing twenty volunteers for the march and vigil. Final volunteer roles are still being decided, but we will likely be volunteering in the following roles:
- Set-Up Volunteers:
Will be points of contact for stage logistics and ensuring smooth flow for performances
Runners to be able to get stage materials/supplies
Will need help with table, chair, sign, and tent setup and clean-up
Will be in contact with Frenchy, performers, etc. - Responsibilities for Accessibility Volunteers:
Helping to staff and guide folx with accessibility needs during the event/letting them know where accessibility areas are - PPE Distribution Volunteers:
Prepackaging materials ahead of the event
Distributing materials during the march
Staffing PPE distribution station (or from medical station)

Note: To help identify our group of volunteers, we will be wearing “Diversity Is Beautiful” and “Kind to all Kinds” t-shirts from Only Human. Please send your size to art.nava@gayforgood.org (unisex S/M/L/XL – subject to availability).
