G4G Boston + Food Pantry Volunteer

  • G4G Boston + St. Luke's Food Pantry
     May 25, 2024
     8:00 am - 12:00 pm

When: Saturday, May 25, 8am–Noon

Where: 201 Washington Avenue Chelsea, MA (entrance at the right rear of the church on Silk Street through the parking lot—take a left at the gate and come in the red door!) There is limited onsite parking on the righthand side of the church and on street parking. By T it’s a .8 mile walk from the Bellingham T stop and the 111 bus from Haymarket stops in front of the church.

What: Volunteers will have the opportunity to help either in the Food Pantry packaging and distributing food to  Food Pantry clients OR in the Kitchen where they will help setup, prepare, serve and clean up breakfast and lunch.

Typically, 600 members of the community receive groceries each Saturday and around 100 members of the community enjoy the healthy meal prepared my the kitchen staff.

Both aspects of the project will allow for volunteers to meet and chat with members of the larger Chelsea community, and are vital to help the families in the community who are very grateful for our participation and generosity of time and effort.

Volunteers: 12 volunteer slots are available for this volunteer project
